Forums - General - VGC Mafia Round 29 -Grand Theft Auto 4 edition!

I'll be heading out for a while and I do want everyone to answer my question. So if anyone who hasn't answered it yet starts posting without answering it still, if anyone else around could kindly prod them into answering the question I'd appreciate it. To make it a little easier he's a link to the post as well. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4057867

Thanks-

I think I've been trying to hard to make sense of it all.

I'll simplify:

ST says he knows Linkz is town but he still voted for him. That right there makes no sense whatsoever. Add to that that Linkz denies knowing ST and I'm changing my vote.

Unvote

Vote: Silver-Tiger

Honestly this whole day has been so bizarre.  I think I would be a lot less confused if I DID think Linkz was lying scum.

If you're town, it might be less confusing but then you'd also be wrong. Could you be persuaded to vote NotStan?

Honestly NotStan has kind of been staying off my radar somehow.  What's the case against him?  (Or is it for lurking, lol)

But I don't share your trust of Silver-Tiger.  And one specific thing that bothers me is, if he's so sure that mafia know what he's hinting at, then there's no reason someone shouldn't tell the whole town right?

I'm open to lynching either of them.

NotStan hasn't said anything of content(imo) in days, since this post in which he displayed extreme hesitance about voting me. It could be a paranoid townie, but with my lynch looking likely at that point it reads more as distancing to me. prof's summary from the potals is pretty good:

"The Notstan scenario:

Trucks FoS' Notstan for using reasoning based on stats. Notstan says, "well, what are the odds they are both scum?". St says 50/50 chance. Stefl says Notstan is being wishy-washy and is prof's scumbuddy, because of the ,"stefl/prof; only one is town" quote. Stefl and Trucks say odds are no different from last game. Odds discussion continues for several posts. Trucks asks again about the "pair". Prof votes Notstan for the "only one of them" statement. Wildvine agrees with Trucks. Notstan explains his comment, shooting it down. Trucks says it's weird to bring it up and shoot it down."

I was originally on his case because he asked Heph specifically for odds of winning. And the convo to follow is here and here. I see it as a possible link between scumbuddies, but I'm suspicious enough of each on their own already.

ST's vote was very suspicious, but explain all of the defending if he's scum? You don't even have to know my alignment to know it would make no sense. Especially to risk his own neck day one.

Well if you are scum you know who is town, so defending them would make it seem like you have the towns best interest in hand.  Now it can backfire if its a second team or a third party.  I have seen that in the past quite a few times.

Oh, I understand that. It's making me wary of FF, but ST's defense is so full-throttle that it painted a target on himself too. I'm not saying ST coasts as likely town, but he's not a good lynch today either.

I can't say I'm surprised you don't trust me. I've played this round very bad, I have to admit. Must be because I haven't played a mafia game in ages.

At this point it makes so sense to hide anymore, as scum probably found out about it anway.

I'm a town sibling, I'm Gay-Tony lover (weird role, I don't even have a name). If Linkzmax dies, I'll also die. Vice-Versa, too. What I'm wondering however, is that Linkz doesn't seem to know about it. My defending of him was to keep myself alive. Now that everybody including scum knows this, mafia will definitely target me to kill two townies with one night action, and that's exactly what I've been fearing. I voted for Linkz to hide my connections to him, in the hope scum doesn't see the connection. If I would have defended him, scum might have noticed the connection.

What I'm most pissed is the fact that I needed to roleclaim on day fucking ONE.

ST your role says "sibling"?

Nevermind, just saw you said "lover" as well. Which is what my role is, and why I denied being a "sibling." Your fears were exactly the same as mine, and why I refused to claim. Furthermore, why I tried to make myself look like a bomb or vengeful townie, but the real effort there was hoping scum wouldn't buy it and would hammer. I didn't and don't know you to be a townie, but I knew if you were scum you wouldn't want me dead and behavior towards another look at my lynch tomorrow would tell me if you spoke you your scummates and said I should be avoided.
