Forums - Gaming - DMC4 for ps3 has goodies that the 360 version does not...

The overall point he makes is still valid. The point is that PS3/#60 fans are just taking pop shots at each other in every little difference in multi-platform games. Whice I think is quite sad and shows the extent a whick the PS3/360 Fanbase crosses over each other.

It's more like:
Wii - I got a slighty used fire truck, but it has a siren, flashing lights, a ladder that rises up and down, and a hose that really shoots water.

Xbox360/PS3 - But it isn't shiny!

Nope.

You miss my point, I am inferring and rightfully so, that the Xbox 360 and the PS3 are offering up more of the same , in new packaging (ie; graphics) nothing innovative outside of perhaps online, but then again the Wii is capable of doing the same stuff (and can get better if it is updates/improved).

Anyway, while the 360 and PS3 are playing with the same ol stuff in new packaging, the Wii is doing something totally different and "new" ie; next-gen gameplay.

- also, yes I know it's off topic, but my point was about people going on and on about small feature changes in the same game, it's not that big a deal, and its the same ol same ol.

Do us all a favor and stop trying to derail this thread.  It has absolutely nothing to do with the Wii.

...including an optional HDD install that removes all load times, and uncompressed LCP 5.1 surround sound. The ps3 version will also come with PSN features, and though it doesn't mention it, I'm sure the 360 version will make use of XBL.

From ps3fanboy.com:

You may not like Capcom for porting the former PS3-exclusive Devil May Cry 4 to the Xbox 360. But, can you take comfort in knowing that the PS3 version is still superior than its 360 counterpart? If you watched this episode of The 1UP Show, you would've heard the 1UP editors agree that the PS3 version looks and plays better than the 360 version. In addition, a new issue of Famitsu reveals some features that are sure to make PS3 owners quite happy.

An optional hard drive install will supposedly remove all load times from the game. But, be warned -- it's quite a hefty install at nearly 5GB. Not only will load times be shortened on the PS3, but audiophiles will be glad to hear that the PS3 version also includes 5.1 LPCM audio. There's also support for the PSN, although how exactly it will work is still unclear. Regardless, it makes us glad to see the PS3 version of DMC4 get extra functionality.

Well I wasn't even worried about the Xbox 360 getting Devil May Cry, back when Capcom made the game multi-platform.

I knew sometime down the road Capcom would add some features and its good to see that the DMC4 will take advantage of every single PS3 out there, since they all come with a HDD. Something that the Xbox 360 doesn't have.

I did say his first analogy was pretty good, but the wii had no place in it.

I think the wii has a place just not the way he used it. I think the point being that by nature of being different you dont get the same game crossover with fans thus overall less bitkering of whose version of a muli-plat is better.

Edit: On a furthur note smart compainies can use exclusive features to soak more money out of MS and Sony as they pay for "exculsive" content to beat out the other,

I agree, which is why his Wii comments should not be here.

your grasping, its like you want to help jlrx prove that his Wii comments belong here
but then you abandon his view and still say the Wii still has a place in this DMC4 thread.

"I think the point being that by nature of being different you dont get the same game crossover with fans thus overall less bitkering of whose version of a muli-plat is better."

That point is invalid, we could say the same exact thing for the DS, PSP, PC or any other game system out there.

"hey why not make a Mobile phone version of DMC4, there would be less bickering of whose version of a multi-plat is better"

you see my point?

Agreed, I was mearly using the wii since it had already been brought up.

On another note, I wonder PS3/360 multi-plat games are going to continue to be read off bullet-point style comparing each feature and difference between each other.

I'll be buying it for my ps3 for one simple reason...DMC = Playstation....it would feel weird playing it on my 360. Just like it would feel weird playing something like GeOW on my ps3. Certain games were meant for certain consoles.

The extra features are just a bonus...

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

schweet this means that my ps3 will output full 1.5mbps dts like burnout and uncharted! woootttttttt
