| padib said: Reading up on a thread about exclusivity by richardhutnik @ http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=128444&page=1 I thought of hearing your thoughts on what things would look like if games would all be developed on the same platform. What would Nintendo games look like? What would Sony games look like? What would Microsoft games look like? What would 3rd party games look like? What would current PC games look like? What would the controller be? Would it have a mouse and keyboard? Assuming it would be possible to integrate new peripherals to the platform, what would the adoption rate of such a devices look like? Let's use modern-day examples to debate. Let's look at companies that were console-makers and are now either game makers or out of the biz. By answering these questions and yet unasked questions, it could help to answer the question: Is it good for the gaming industry that games be divided into different platforms? Does it add or remove from the experience? |
Differant strokes for differant folks . Diversity breeds competition, competition of good for consumers, so, let there be platforms!!!!
