All I read was "our shitty ass DRM is fucking us in our asses too now." So I guess a small beneficial sideeffect of this hack, silver lining if you will, is that some companies hopefully realize what shitty DRM they have.

For me excessive DRM has always been unacceptable. At least Steam has an offline mode.

If some people flip-flopped on this, good for them. Maybe they're starting to understand that punishing law-abiding gamers this much in an attempt to hurt piracy is going too far.
