Forums - Nintendo - I figured out why Conduit 2 sucks.

Two paragraphs in and I still haven't told you why Conduit 2 sucks. Well let me explain it to you with this simple, but very elegant, bulleted list:

- no swearing beyond "damn". This is the Wii after all.

- It's a sequel to a pretty average shooter.

- It's been 2 years since the release of the original. Why would anyone buy a sequel to a game that wasn't that good in the first place?

So swearing makes a game good? When did this happen? =P

As for a sequel to a game that wasnt any good, Killzone and Killzone 2 say hi. KZ2 did a good job of making up for the suckfest that KZ1 was.

We should get something together at some point, if there are enough of us on VGC:

PS: the game sucks because of the Phase Rifle in its overpowered glory

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

However, only using the phase rifle usually won't get you as many kills as another weapon, because it doesn't have much ammo, unless you use the ammo belt upgrade, but then you sacrifice the upgrade that lets the phase rifle go through walls farther. Also, you pretty much just stay in one place, you can't just seek out enemies, you have to wait for a chance to kill one. If you have the stealth upgrade, then people with the phase rifle can't phase tune you. They can still shoot you, it's just not as easy.

I haven't adapted to shooting through the walls that well. Usually i only employ the Phase Rifle like i would any other weapon, except in this case i get 1-hit kos, so they can't run or hide unlike when i get on top of them with a SCAR

I should master headshots with the HVS45, but i'm only playing this game on weekends now, switched most of my effort back to cleaning out the upper levels of Pokemon White

Painfully slow rate of fire has put me off even bothering to buy it, though i have run into some people who have used it quite effectively to purge any attempts to engage them in close-range combat
