I think they should release NGP first in EMEAA/Americas and delay it in Japan. It would just hurt the PSP's sales over there and they don't need another handheld there yet.

Interesting....makes sense.  It might have trouble taking hold there because it's big brother is so popular still lol

Well it actually makes tons of sense to start with EMEA - PSP is in much worse state there and holiday boost for those regions tend to be bigger.

Also with Euro:US  at >1,45 starting in Europe would be lot more profitable

As predictable PS3 takes the biggest sales hit from PSN hack having the smallest growth (actually 3DS has an even smaller growth) during the first part of Golden Week. PSP rescues Sony being the week's best seller. XB360 is an healthy pigmy, instead of the usual sad panda  , scoring the biggest % growth.

SW grows less than HW, but PSP and PS3 have the best results as % growth (PSP the best as sales numbers too, ranking 1st), maybe PSN down increased SW on physical support sales. XB360 is the only one with decreased SW sales, but last week it had two SW launches in the Top 20 this week just one.

So, all of the three Ninty, Sony and MS have a quite good first part of Golden Week, partially ruined for Ninty and Sony by small HW growth for PS3 and 3DS, and for MS by SW sales. Sony balances the bad or worse than they could be things better than the others thanks to a great PSP.

I have to wonder how Nintendo must be feeling having dropped the ball so badly in Japan. Almost seems like Sony's success is coming at Nintendo's expense. It really wasn't a good idea to rush the 3DS out the door so quickly.

WOW! Look at those PSP sales! What the hell happened there? Console sales figures have been very odd this past year.

Wii sales have plumetted.

DS sales have plumetted.

PSP sales have rocketed for no apparent reason, especially in Japan.

3DS sales are very unimpressive.

PS3 sales have risen.

XBOX 360 sales are huge, but only in America.

It seems that American sales are the exact opposite to EU and Jap sales.
