I did love 'Sony is smart not to rain on the Wii parade just yet, as that would just upset people' I have to say I think that is very civilized of them. Letting Nintendo take the first round just to make sure that the wii's early adopters dont get upset.

I have said for awhile that people who are claiming the Wii is a fad, and it will just disapear, don't really understand how fads for adults work ... They typically take 2 to 3 years to hit peak popularity because it takes a while for it to move from a subculture (gamers) to the more mainstream population; once it hits its peak it usually takes 5 or more years before it becomes 'lame'.

If the Wii is a fad you'd expect it to sell 60+ Million units over 2008 and 2009, and then follow that up with an additional 60+ Million units until the end of its life in 2012 or later.

That guy cannot write worth a damn. He needs to retake Comp 1.

Do you know how many of them are made a day. I can't even count them on one hand. It is getting ridicules and still has not show to be a fad. It has show to be the most popular system.

 There are fads that can last for a while before they go, so really it's still way to early to say weather the will turn out to be a fad or not, just take hypsters, now that fad lastes years.
