Nintendo has announced that its DS RPG Solatorobo: The Red Hunter will be released on 1 July.

Nintendo is publishing Namco Bandai's epic action packed RPG which stars Red Savarin, a 17 year old anthropomorphic dog.

He's joined by his robot pal Dahak, and together they battle with giant robotic "mecha" and other enemies as they journey through the mythical floating islands of the Shepherd Republic.

After a chance encounter with the mysterious Elh, Red Savarin gets inadvertently entangled in an epic adventure to save the world from destruction at the hands of the ancient evil being, Lares.

There are 70 quests to complete which have you fighting robots, battling sky pirates, racing planes and defeating giant monsters while exploring the sky on your own airship.

Completing quests earns you money and increases your Hunter Level, while Battling mode sees you lifting and smashing robot opponents in order to gain experience points.

This isn't yet on my 'to buy' list, but I'm certainly keeping an eye on it.  It's shaping up to be another great RPG for the DS

What is this garbage? Nobody gives a damn about noname Namco games. Where the hell is the localisation of Fire Emblem 3?

It might be a noname Namco game, but it's a noname Namco game with furries.

If the Laguz were in Fire Emblem 3, you and I both know the game would be localized immediately. It makes perfect sense.

With this game, every day will be Furry Friday.
