Look If you want the Hard core market Nintendo.  Its simple.

Pump out a system thats going to rock our sox's.  

If not, do yourself a favor and keep concentrating,

On the casual market.   Your not going to fool anyone,

with a system on par with Ps3 and x-box 360 even if its

slightly more powerful.

 

Like answer #5 says. Whats wrong with the casual market?  Stick with it.

WTF?  Why does everyone keep saying the Wii 2 will be 'slightly' more powerful than 360/PS3.  The IGN article sources clearly said that the Wii 2 was 'significantly' more powerful than 360/PS3.

Also, why do you blokes pay so much attention to rumor?  It isn't as if the 3DS rumors were all  that accurate until right before launch.  Remember all those Tegra rumors? 

Nintendo clearly has a difficult task in front of them.  I predict that they will not only have to compete with M$ and Sony, but that other game services such as OnLive and Apple TV will begin to eat into the video game pie. Apple TV is very dangerous to the market because it can introduce cheap apps onto the TV.

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

Will they view it as a investment? like Sony and Microsoft?

honestly now, why not wait 5 more weeks to find out what the device is like before making these threads? will help everyone have a good discussion/debate using something more than speculation on the HW.

Is that when E3 is?  I pay no attention to these type things until the week before, if that.


yep E3 stuff will kick off on June 6th with the MS conference in the morning, Sony on the same day but in the evening. Think Ninty is on the 7th.

Because our attention spans demand hourly entertainment, not bi-monthly entertainment?

But seriously, this whole "identity crisis" concept is FUD constructed from negative propaganda from the gaming media at large and also from Malstrom. What we're seeing, potentially, is Nintendo trying to take control of the existing industry while they continue to push boundaries outwards, or trying to. Whether it will succeed remains to be seen, but this is nothing other than a power play
