Forums - General - What are the best Blu-ray movies out there?

I'm sure this has been done before, but I just want you to give your opinion on which Blu-ray movies are must-haves, both from the perspective of image quality and movie quality.

I recently decided to start my own Blu-ray movie collection. I have bought the Bourne trilogy (awesome), the Back to the Future trilogy (awesome), and preordered the LotR extended edition trilogy. I was thinking of buying the Matrix 1 (2 and 3 suck monkey balls IMO), Pan's Labyrinth, Wall-E, the Alien movies, Kokuhaku, Oldboy (have to see it yet!), Fight Club, Jurassic Park when it releases, the Kubric collection and more I can't remember right now.

So, what do you think are the best movies to own on Blu-ray? I want to hear VGChartz's opinion. Discuss!

Avatar.

And mostly ever animated movies look so shiny in blu-ray. Try Toy Story 3 and fall in love.

Disney's Classic are of course a must though the image has only been remastered so it's not actually as HD as modern movies. The Beauty and the Beast is simply beautiful, though.

And OF COURSE Alice in Wonderland. A must.

3/4 of  favorite movies. (Blade Runner, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Pan's Labyrinth) look fantastic

Pixar movies all look fantastic atleast the ones I"ve seen (Monster's Inc, and Rattatouille (my fav's)).

Speed racer's one of the best looking ones... obviously the plot, is speed racer. But it's eye candy with camp fun.

I just bought Ghost in the Sell on Blu Ray, looks really nice.

Dark Knight is really good.

I've got the limited edition Braveheart Blu Ray, that was done really well, especially for such an old movie.

Most Blu Rays look as good as each other, the difference usually comes down to the movie itself. Speed Racer looks amazing, while The Prestige looks decent, both have really good pictures, but one is suited to the format better than the other.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Wall-E looks amazing on blu-ray. Would definitely recommend it. The Matrix looks very good; I wasn't expecting much in terms of video quality, but yeah, it looks very good. The best thing about it is the sound. Can't speak for rest of the movies.
