Forums - Gaming - Uncharted may be king of graphics on it's platform, but SO IS ITS CLONE!

Initial screen shots fooled me. I still think plenty of other Android games look better.

Bullshots.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Let's take a look at some Gameloft games.

Modern Combat = Call of Duty ripoff

Dungeon Hunter = Diablo ripoff

Shadow Guardian = Uncharted ripoff

I admitedly had some fun with Dungeon Hunter (PS3), but it was hilariously similar to Diablo.

Gameloft takes what really works in certain franchises and sells it for cheap. They better watch out they'll get their *** sued soon, if anything they are getting also a terrible reputation.

Of course, I would love to play an Uncharted clone... Uncharted is so good that even a ripoff half as good must be fun to play. It's just that supporting such 'ripoff' behavior from companies doesn't feel too right...

If its a good game who cares if its a rip off of another game. I don't know about you but I like these type of games coming to mobile phones because nobody else will make the actual thing on phones.

And they won't get sued because thats not how it works.

ow i forgot about Dead Space:

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

For infinity blade you really have to factor in the fixed camera, limited freedom, and point and click gameplay.

I don't see the resemblance.  Drake wears blue jeans.  This guy wears cargo pants.  Totally different games, if you ask me.

thanks for this one! :D made my evening

Why the fu*k can't Gameloft make their own, origional IPs?

Also, those are good graphics.

They are in business to get funding and make money.  Why are there so many Tower Defense knock-offs?  Well, apparently they sold, so everyone felt compelled to release one.  Apparently business types look at prior track record of what sells and fund this.  Of course, what gets lost in the process, if you are a gamer, is novelty and new concepts to challenge and entertain.  As the videogame industry has matured, it gets to be more like movies in that there are venture capitalists who end up seeking to fund things they believe will pay off.
