Nah. I think the same problems afflicting the 3DS will hit the NGP at the same time. Theres a reason why Sony hedged their bets with a Playstation store for Android, think about that for a second and see if you can figure out why. It has to do with why the 3DS isn't performing as well as some would hope.

either way the NGP should be more successful than the PSP which is the key thing for Sony, the titles they have for it are very impressive as well.

i also think they would do well to release the PS2 back catalogue on the NGP and also the PSP back catalogue.


They backwards compatible with psp games... if you bought the PSN version (which excitingly I own exactly none of)

And according to this article they are looking into giving umd owners a ngp version of their software. I don't see how this would not be exploited though if this did happen.

I'm not sure if it can do it and I guess a lot of it depends on pricing, but I know that I'm personally more excited for the NGP. I just think that they shouldn't call it "PSP something", but give it a new name (NGP ofc  won't be the final name).

Nintendo have the better handheld back catalogue, I don't see the current sales figures staying like this for the 3DS once we get towards the holiday season.
