Yes, it has. Unless you've not been keeping up, this information has been discussed/posted/blown out of proportion for nearly a week.

What I meant was it is not old. It is STILL current and still on their site.

And considering the severity AND outside help along with a rebuild, I would take this more seriously. Any company who has this written on their website is NOT playing around. It is worth taking the advice that Sony are offering here.

Am I the only one who thinks this is an attempt at a troll topic disguised as a public information announcement? If I'm wrong, I gladly apologise but considering this is Selnor who NEVER gives a shit about anything PS3 related but is suddenly the source of PSN related info?

This is nothing but a blatant attempt to cause more (unnecessary) panic. Why doesn't this seem weird to anyone else?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.
