I've just remembered about Chrono Trigger, where the US box art is IMO far superior to the European/Japanese one:

I live in the better region (though probably not the best, ie. Japan > Europe > North America) so I don't have many complaints here. In fact, I can't think of a single example where the North American box art would be better, and I don't really remember Japanese box arts that well.

Anyway, IMO KZ3 EU > KZ3 NA. I think it has something to do with symmetry...

Yeah, but there's one minor flaw in that art. Marle can't cast fire magic, only ice magic. Lucca is the one who can cast fire but not ice. :P

Yeah, I noticed  that too

It's because the box art was based off of the left photo below from the beta.  See the similar location, same enemies and characters, etc.  At that time, I'm certain Marle was the fire elemental character.
