Forums - Gaming - Portal 2 DLC coming in the summer

Sweet! Haven't played the game yet but when I finally do I will get this when it comes out.

Even better news for ppl who have been holding out on picking up a copy of this game (like myself lol)... starting tomorrow (April 30th) Gamestop has the 360/PS3 version in store for just $39.99, and starting Sunday Kmart has it for just $35!

Edit:  OP u should post this info in the OP as well... i'm too lazy to make a new thread lol.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Free... Valve is awesome

That is awesome

new challenge mode is probably the hard versions of puzzles like Portal 1 had.

YES PLEASE!

And make it a little more challenging this time please! Sersiously, I found the single player all too easy. The multiplayer was just about right, but again too short. So more of that too please!

EDIT: Can anyone tell me what the typical size of dlc like this is? I don't have the luxury of unlimited downloads like most of you :( Seriously, are we talking 500mb here or over 1 GB? Thanks.

Yes! its freee!!!!!!

I kind of doubt the DLC for xbox will be free (just assuming based on L4D)

Wow, free dlc, that's pretty awesome. I bought the game, but can't play until I get home from grad school. Can't wait! First Valve game I've ever bought. I hope they make lots of co-op dlc, bc I heard the co-op campaign is fairly short. I'd love to be able to keep coming back to Portal 2 for more and more split-screen co-op with my friends.

That's my question, are these singleplayer test chambers, or co op test chambers?  either way, I'm eagerly looking forward to this awesomeness! This DLC pretty much has all the things people were complaining about the retail copy not having, and its free, essentially making it part of the game by default.  it's awesome!

I say release a "make your own test chamber" mode for us, I'd pay money for that.  10 bucks?  20 bucks?  I don't care, that's infinite replay value!

According to the press release they will be do maps for BOTH Co-op and Single player

@ Runa216 If you got Portal 2 on the PC you can get both co-op and Single player User created Maps, It's tough to create your own without the SDK (used to easily create Portal 2 maps) but that'll be coming in the next few months - I believe when it does come it'll be uploadable through stream to PS3 users to. No idea about live as it doesn't support steam.

I've been playing a few User created maps and they are pretty challenging.

I've Edited out the link to user created Maps and putting all the info in the opening post.
