I dont know why i just switched on the tv and just found myself watching it, I even said to myself at one " what am i doing" but i still didnt turn it off. Love the whole "Kingdom stuff" and those achient and detailed buildings they have though, there's some MAJOR history in that country.

Fun Fact: its the same day Hitler married Eva Braun

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

here is a slightly interesting fact: Unlike many other historic English cities with Cathedrals, such as Coventry and Canterbury, my hometown of Winchester was rarely bombed during the Second World War.  This is because apparently Hitler wished to be proclaimed ruler of the British Isles in both Westminster Abbey and Winchester Cathedral, in the way William I was in 1066 (the last successful invasion of Britain).

There is probably loads of other similar stories of Hitler's Anglophilia on the web as well.

Over 2 Billion people watched. Its a big deal.

I watched it.

Whilst posting republican commentary on facebook.

I loathe the whole concept of a monarchy and I cannot stand having one in my country.

You did the right thing. Thanks! (I'm serious)

Don't hate it but I disliked it...  The monarchy makes a good profit for magazines..now it is about the wedding and soon they are going to try to find something to make some members look bad and people love to read this stuff X_X..

Yeah... I mean... I see why the British keep it around.  Free tourism.  Can't see any advantage for Australia.
