I'll be happy as long as it is better than Halo 3 ODST. That game just made me sad on the insides.

Ah, I thought ODST was better than 3 and Reach lol ... the atmosphere was awesome.

I utterly hated the campaign to be honest, as well as the game play. They took everything good about 3 and got rid of it IMO. Not hating on your opinion though, that's just my point of view. This is a new dev anyways so we'll see what they can do.
Hopefully they announce it at E3 but i give it a 50/50 chance of appearing at MS's press confrence.

It'll be 4 surely? Reach deliberately did not include 4, and neither did ODST. TBH both were clearly Bungie's way of fufilling their contract without using the coveted Halo 4 title nor MC as a character.
Neither was as good as Bungie's best work IMHO. Reach had a great new engine, great MP and solid gameplay but the prequel SP story was weak, the team weak and the emotion forced. Compared to core Halo campaigns it was clearly a side road rather than a main entry. Ditto for ODST. To be blunt, without the new engine and Forge I suspect Reach would have sold more like ODST, as that (and what the new engine meant for MP) was the big draw over and above what ODST offered.
They were good games, but the next truly big Halo will be Halo 4, which will - unless MS are crazy - have MC as the lead once more and kick off a new cycle of games for him. Which - again unless MS are crazy - will be on their next console.
IMHO of course!
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Listen up you ghillied fanboys IF at e3 they announce halo 4(which is what it will be called and will have the cheif) it will 100 percent be on xbox 360.Dieing console?....LOL you people are insane.Have any of you seen halo's godly sales or the 360s???Do any of you people have a 360?...Do you people realise kinect came out this christmas and is selling like hotcakes!?...Theres over 50 million xboxs out there and you whackos think ms is going to announce a new console WITH halo 4 at e3 without a shred of a rumour which is these days virtually impossible. We know for a fact 360 can push out awesome graphics, has the best online and a hell of a lot to offer.Hell i have cable tv on my xbox(foxtel).
If halos announced its on 360 ladies

Totally agree. According to my far too Halo loving friend Reach wasn't really anything better than 3, so I would give the franchise some time to breathe, and wait for the 720 to make the new era of Halo really feel like a new era, not just more of the same
720 is most likely going to be backwards compatible, what would be even better is if they combine 360 and 720 online to mix it up a little, although I highly doubt that'll happen. Either way it'll likely be on both, the present and the future consoles.
Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

I agree with you about starting a new trilogy on the current Xbox and then continuing it on the next one. I really like continuing stories and I'm sure that other people feel the same way. Look at some of the biggest movies out there like Spiderman, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and many other series. People want to follow story for more than one short installmen. Starting another trilogy would be a smart move. Since I'm really obsorbed into the stories of the KH (main story only) and Shenmue series, I would buy whatever console these games are released on. There are also many people who bought the xbox 360 to finish the original halo trilogy. I was one of them. Microsoft should use Halo, their biggest exclusive, to rope people into wanting their next console.
