I'm not a huge fan of Obama.  But hiding your birth cirtificate is like stealing candy compared to some other secrets other Presidents kept hidden.  And can you blame them?  This is a job where having an affair or even skipping school one semester can cost you your partys election.  And in the case of some Presidents, they withheld personal information due to conflict of interest or the security of the nation.  Abraham Lincoln fits both of those.

The article is talking about the short form certificate.

Not sure what your talking about. He released what was available in 2008 and people still kept bitchin. Now, he got a  full copy and sent that out. Previous "copy" in 2008 should have been sufficient.

I don't want to put words in superchunk's mouth, but I think he meant "copies" as in a legitimate copy of his birth certificate, not the specific long form one that he just gave out. 

I stand by my earlier opinion, which I expect you remember, that the earlier copy was also "definitive".
