Isn't it strange that Namco didn't announce the platform(s) of ToV ?

I'm not a Tales fan so I'm not sure if this is the standard with Tales annoucements.

and how did you explain the 720p thing?

im not sure but do companies like to upscale video then compress it again for a trailer?

cuz that makes video look really awesome.

shouldn't you already start the petition to make this a wii game already.

seriously, there would be no need to argue if you got another console than just a wii.

@celine

I was thinking the same thing! Why not announce the platforms if it's getting released in 2008?

It's as if they want to make an explosive announcement!

Soriku is arguing with himself lol

At least Soriku doesn't have to create an alternate account to discuss which system this Tales games is heading to. Don't make it too obvious for people who you are.

actually this is my only account and this is my first time posting here?

exactly who do you think i am?

and it really seems there are too many wii fanboys here, i enjoy the wii like the rest of you guys, but you guys are just irrational

This tales game is far less detailed than eternal sonata and yet still more detailed than what we have seen from the Wii ... Either it is an excellent looking Wii game or a below average XBox 360/PS3 game

I have the same impression .

From a theoritical perspective it could be both ...

An approach to game development that may be attempted by developers in the near future when the gameplay mechanics are not technically challenging (like an RPG, which have remained practically unchanged since the snes) is to base your game's geometry around the Wii version and then have upgraded textures and effects for the PS3/XBox 360. The end result is you could have a game that didn't look particularly impressive on the PS3/XBox 360 but was not particularly ugly for either platform either.

But also I think that in the remote case that ToV is a Wii game , Namco don't want to eat up ( cannibalize ? ) the sale of ToS: KoR announcing a "true" Tales of a couple of months prior ToS : KoR launch for the same platform ...

Obviously this is only speculation, nothing more

Also Happy rise an interesting point.

I think soriku has better evidence that decrot. In the other topic I said 360/PS3, but this topic makes me think wii is likely. A bunch of websites that don't have anymore information than anyone else isn't very convincing, and neither is a semi-HD format for one of the videos. The big 2008 roadmap that has a distinct lack of PS3 or 360 on it seems pretty convincing.

But it's all speculation for a few months I would guess.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

the magic box states:

No platform has been announced, but one assumes the game is for PS3 because Bandai Namco's release schedule has an unnamed new RPG listed for PS3.

''Hadouken!''

yeah, that was in the other topic, and wasn't very convincing there either.
