That's kind of what happens when you destroy a great game series, talking about Metroid. Though at this rate, Zelda will be next in line for this treatment. Happy that retro is working on something else than those rumours suggested.

I'm tired of Metroid fans down-talking on Zelda just to feel better about what happened to their franchise. Yes, I see it a lot lately. Malstrom was right about them. =/

Just so you know, I'm an equally big fan of Legend of Zelda: the oracle of ages/seasons games started my lovve of games on handhelds, and Metroid prime defined the Gamecube for me. So no, I'm not down talking on Zelda to make me feel better, I feel just as pissed at what they're doing to it. I bloody bought a Gamecube just to play LoZ on it! I loved that series! Now it's turning into a joke.

Ugh, if this turns into another Other M hate thread...-eyebrow twitches-. A lot of this is just rumor and some are more dubious than others. As for Metroid, the sales had been waning ever since Prime 1 anyway just like the article said. Corruption might have had a slight boost in sales, but it was still BARELY over half of what Prime 1 did. Sakamoto is probably just going to take a longer approach and decide whether he wants to go with the 3DS or the next console for the series. Either one would be fine. Here's to hoping Other M's detractors don't end up begging for the next Metroid.

Maybe I'm not a "real" Metroid fan, but I still can't get why they hate so much Other M. I like it, and a lot. I have played Super Metroid, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Other M and love every one of them.
