Forums - Gaming - Microsoft React to PlayStation Network Outage

Yeah, sure. Microsoft is taking no joy in all of that, I am not buying it. I bet they are laughing their asses off behind closed doors. Those arrogant pricks.

I doubt they are too aggrogant over this, after all in 360's first few years they had LIVE break competly for a few days, hell since they charge for it they were even giving out free XBLA games and LIVE gold time while they struggled to fix the problem. I bet what they are really doing is reviewing there own system to make sure it dosn't happen to them in the future.

I am dissapointed in the lack of Drama (with capital D) etc. :(

They really couldn't win for some people on here.  They were always going to be asked to comment so here are some possible responses followed by some fans potential replies:

1.  No Comment.

There goes Microsoft being all ignorant again, bet they're laughing their ass off but don't want to be seen gloating.

2.  It's unfortunate for the gamers, hopefully Sony can get the issue resolve so there is minimum disruption very soon.

Ha they're pretending to care about their customers, typical greedy M$ tactics!

3.  It's unfortunate Sony are unable to maintain a stable service for their gamers in this present time, XBL is fine though

Arrogant pricks, it's not like M$ have never had XBL go down for days before.

Obviously these aren't exact representations of what they might say but it's the general sentiment and the responses showing how you can twist any words to suit some messed up agenda people have.  All in all given they had to respond in some way this seems the most genuine they could, showing the upmost respect for a competitors issues might I add.  Had the shoe been on the other foot I doubt Sony could have responded any better.

I'm surprised they had time to comment given how hyper-focused they are at getting all of their revolutionary, game-changing Kinect content to the public.

 . . . wait that hasn't happened yet?

But didn't they say . . . ?

So, what exactly are they doing?

Apparently they just spent a couple hundred million to see if the PSN blackout could be copied and emulated with XBL, but they're still working out the marketing strategy, showing that the blackout is excluisve to Xbox360.

What does this post have anything to do with the topic on hand?

I mean honestly how is talking trash on Kinect and MS even realted to the OP.

Sorry, I know, I know, this all just seemed so superfluous. Nsanity must make 5,000 new 360 threads a day, I just got a little bored. No offense intended. I know how dour everyone can get on this site if someone even makes an attempt at sarcasm. My brain is glazing over in apathic atrophy just writing this. I will go back to my cave and by all means continue with your titillating conversation that I so rudely interrupted.

Wow, even though MS said the best thing a competitor could say, people are still spreading hate on them.

I can almost guarantee that if the situation was reversed, Sony right now would be blatantly going for low-blows, which is what they seem to be doing these days against all their competitors.

I think both Sony and Sony fanboys should learn that you can co-exist with your competition without having to show them the finger every 2 seconds.

Please, show a little bit more respect. Some trolls are Nintendo fans and feel offended by being lumped together with the Sony pack.

The problem is he never cares to respond to anything which makes me wonder what he's trying to accomplish(?)

Its really lame bro. (probably he'll never even read this)

Heh I'm sure MS is thinking how perfect of timing it is that the PSN network would go down at the same time they are trying to get a guiness world record

Great statement on their part though....they could said some pretty low things but they decided to take the high road.
