Its good its made 3.75 mil, but i'll celebrate when it hits the 4 mil mark. and secondly there is another problem. the game is crawling in EMMEA; Americas isnt too bad. it should comfortabilty outsell GoW1 in the Americas, but the game will struggle to outsell GoW2 in EMMEA unfortunately.

however i think it could be undertracked slightly in EMMEA, and i dont think it will do 5 mil, but around 4.2 - 4.5. i was hoping for 5 mil, because i think 5 mil is an incredible success!!

What if you counted "The God of War Collection" as sales for GoW I and II? It would make sense to do so, wouldn't it? And in this case, GoW III would have a long way to go:/ But then again, I guess maybe it wouldn't be fair, bc it was a re-release onto the ps3.

PS3 clearly has a core audience just as large as PS2 had. Casual audience on the other hand, Wii and 360 pretty much ran away with that.

That was a huge market for PS1 and PS2. Sony needs to focus on getting that back.

I just know the PS3 seems to do as well as PS2 when comes to moving core tites. In time PS3 will likely do better at moving core games than PS2 ever did.

However, PS2 did a much better job at moving casual software. That's probably because casual gamers buy cheaper hardware and core gamers are willing to pay more.

Amazing sales for an amazing and fantastic franchise.

Now bring on God of War IV!  It'll be even more mindblowing than God of War 3's graphics already are.  Though from a story perspective I don't really see where they could go with it to be honest.
