I mean.... put it this way.

Name one thing the US has recently used it's "#1 status" to do, to tip things vastly in their favor that doesn't benefit europe almost as much to where it is orth it to spend tons of money to get slightly more benefit.

What does it matter? The ideea is that Europe shouldn't have to depend on the US... for anything.

What does it matter?  You are suggesting that a bunch of people give up various freedoms and spend a bunch of money for zero benefit outside of "not relying on america."

Of which relying not relying on america seems to have no value to it outside of pride.

You basically want all this to happen soley for pride.

Nope.  Being number one in the world is in reality a real pain in the ass... and most people in the US would perfer to NOT be the number 1 country in the wolrd... but only hang on because the big competitor is the undemocratic Chinese.

We've long passed the age of stuff like the British Empire where being number 1 particularly benefited you in anyway.  If anything it just makes you a target now a days and you have to always be ahead and donate the most to other countries, you have to keep your tarfiffs and shit down... (i mean look at the levels of protectionism the EU gets away with vs the US.  We can't even consider a VAT of a couple percent without other nations getting pissy.)

You know who has it right?  Canada.  They just get to sit back, not be involved in practically anything, yet reap the benefits of western dominance.  Or like, Lictehnstein.  They don't even have an army I don't think.

I wouldn't mind living in Canada.  Except for all the snow.

Why don't you move to Europe? (LOL) Though the really good states are also the ones up north. And you'd have to learn weird viking languages too.

1) The Euro.

2) Conservatives view on Personal freedoms and speech.

3) Economic approahes to sexism and racism that prove ineffective.

4) Only child, meaning when my parents get old they'd have to move out to where i live.

5) Suck at learning foreign languages.

6) Most europeon countries are setting themseles up for huge trouble as they try and mimic the better run, smaller and all around workable small countries.  The larger a country is, the worse socialism seems to perform due to beuracracys way of growing to add costs with large numbers, rather then save costs like one would expect to be the case.

As a further proof of the military gap and the kind of funding needed.

The US in hopes of bailing out the EU in what it sees as a failed attempt at stopping Momar Quadaffi has agreed to help with direct attacks again by using Predator Drones equipped with Hellfire missles.

Drones are fairly inexpensive. Mexico uses them, Angola uses them, it's one of those cases where going higher tech saves money in a lot of cases

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I mean... haven't you wondered why exactly we can't afford government healthcare?

Seriously... feel free to be number 1... get in all sorts of cyber wars and bullshit with China.

And we can have unniversal healthcare and spend less then we do now on government.

I'm not kidding when I say I would rather europe be number 1.

Personally I thought you couldn't afford universal healthcare because;

A) Your political system is horrendously broken, meaning that every bill that goes through has all sorts of earmarks and stuff tagged on.

B) Your legal system is horrendously broken, meaning that costs go up due to all the ridiculous lawsuits.

It's not due to you being the super-power. If that was the case you wouldn't be paying far more as a percentage of GDP/far more per capita for a system that's more broken than pretty much any other in the developed world.

I could be wrong but the only drones used in Mexico are sent there by the US. Not sure about angola

It could be that not everyone here wants the government dictating their health and their money. I for one will never be for government run healthcare.

1. What's wrong with the Euro?

2. What? Europe is more liberal than the US. There are just limits to freedom of speech of course, which is only normal, else the result would be chaos. Don't see what other freedoms are restricted (and don't you say guns ).

3. Extend this argument.

4. Why is that? Are they expecting to live with you when they're older?Soundsl ike a bad ideea.

5. I understand this argument.

6. This may be true, but I was suggesting you move to one of the Scandinavian countries, where socialism's working very well.

Yeah, I'm sure huge corporations who want nothing more than getting as much money from you as they can, while offering you the lowest quality services possible are much better at tdictating your health.
