Still showing as available for sale on US Sony store website:
It was stupid of them to make it more expensive than the PSP3000. I mean, its like Nintendo making a Wii without a disk drive, then jacking up the price and saying "AT LEAST ITS SMALLER!!!!! Plus you can download N64 games!!" Plus using 802.11b still, when g has been out forever and n has been a final standard for at least a few years now. And while they're at it, why don't they put n in the PS3.
i would have bought a psp go if it was the same price as the psp 3000 and if they actually did a decent job of putting games on the playstation network. the psp 3000 is way to big for me to be carrying around, that's why i bought ipod instead. having movies, music, and pro gaming would have been nice to have on the go. but i had to settle for movies, music, and crappy gaming on the go =(
Owwww,.. updated the OP with http://www.computerandvideogames.com/298726/news/pspgo-production-has-been-ceased-in-uk-source/?cid=OTC-RSS&attr=CVG-News-RSS
Following reports from Japan this morning, a UK retail source has indicated that PSPgo production has been ceased in the UK.
That's according to respected trade mag MCV, which is reporting that retailers have received word from their suppliers "that once current PSPgo stock is sold we will not be receiving replenishments".

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)
SONY better improve the DD platform for the PSP2 to an iphone standard.
Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong
Eh... that thing is only good if you rip all your games to your PC and then hack the Go... because not all PSP games are downloadable. Aside from the UMD omission, it's better than any PSP out there.
Hacking the PSP Go is the same as hacking the PS3, where is the outrage?
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Not really... the former has proper uses, the latter doesn't... mainly because the latter never lacked in... anything.
I'm not totally against hacking, but I'm against absolutely pointless hacking... like the case was with the PS3.
