Yeah Fulgore would have been awesome. Oh well....

Fulgore is a beast, like an almalgamation of predator,  terminator and wolverine all roll into one super killer entity who's sole purpose in life is to combo the absolute shit out of you so bad that you'll piss blood and puke out your liver.

I can hear it in the background now, the adulation of the comentator as he shouts out those words in shock-awe... UltraaAAaaAAaa combooo!

haha I thought of Master Chief when I saw this article title.  He'd just use a gun in the corner of the screen.

It made me realize,  360 doesn't have any cartoonish lead characters like Sony does with Kratos.  360 is just SHOOTER after SHOOTER.  I mean, here are the faces of 360

Shepeard - Mass Effect

Master Chief - Halo

Marcus Fenix - Gears of War

Alan Wake - Alan Wake (I know it's not a typical shooter but you get my point

Agent - Crackdown

They're all shooters and rely on guns.  I'd still love to play as Sackboy in MK.  That would be funny shit.

I don't buy any of this shit, if Stryker can be a Mortal Kombat character, heck even Alan Wake could me MADE to fit in there. They could even have Couldron lake as a stage with you being able to punch them into the abyss below the lake where they get devoured by the darkness. Yea, some gory stuff. Even better with Wake's fatality where he fries your eyes out with his uber powered flashlight.

I lol'd when I read the last part. Although that fatality wouldn't work on Kenshi....

Is there a brutally violent, melee combat character in the exclusive 360 world which is MS IP? The Gears dudes are shooters, and their character IPs are owned by Epic. Bungie owns the Halo dude and he's a shooter.

Negotiating MK character exclusivity is problematic in that where's the benefit for the character's owner? There is none, only for MS and NR. So that means an upfront payment to the character's owner. NR clearly don't want to pay another dev money. MS were probably unwilling to knowing that, end of the day, there's not much benefit likely to accrue to MS because MK is never going to be a massive game, and it certainly isn't going to be a system seller. So, the only way a 360 exclusive character gets on the 360 version of MK is if MR pay a 3rd party dev for the privilege and  hence NR gets bugger all direct financial benefit and the only winner is some 3rd party who just gets some free advertising for their own game franchise. I can see why NR might have wanted to get a 360 exclusive character but decided it was too much like hard work.

Sony itself owns Kratos, which makes negotiating an exclusive character easy as pie. The benefits to the owner of the character without having to receive payment from NR are obvious. So it's a win-win-win for Sony, PS3 and NR.

first off -- master chief or marcus fenix would be stupid in MK, kratos as least makes some sense for the gameplay.

Master Chief, no. Fenix, yes.

He already does some pretty brual attacks in the Gears series. Special attacks and fatalities could be verious weapons. Also, he comes from one of the most violent games on the market. It wouldn't be a big stretch.

If they can make Resident Evil characters fight Marvel superheroes. Surely they can figure out how to make Fenix fight Mortal Kombat characters. Hell, even the Joker was in a game fighting Mortal Kombat characters!

The IP is called Killer Instinct. It's a bloody over the top 1 on 1 fighter that features fatalities....I know it's stretch but I think any character from that franchise would have crossed over to MK nicely.

Let's see:

1. PS3 version gets Kratos, no exclusive character for 360

2. PS3 demo a month or so before release, no 360 demo

3. Exclusive advertisements for PS3 version flooding the TV

It's easy to read between the lines of what Ed Boon is saying. Happens all the time.

It really amazes me how many here are actually dodging the issue and saying things like MS wanted to much money or something.  It never ceases to amaze me how far devotion to a company can affect someone's ability to reason clearly.  We've seen stuff like this before this gen.  We know the deal.

they should of had just put you as the kinect sensor fighting lol that would be funny lol
