also this isnt fair, how can smeags use legendaries and not us :(

What legendary is Smeags using? At best he has only two Pseudo-legendaries, Hydreigon and Tyranitar. Everyone else are just regular pokemon.

You get more challenges if you do, but you'll have to start over at beating all the masters. If you do start over, you can register a different six pokemon team if you wish.

Hmmm, Zoroark isn't considered to be a legendary. It works just like Lucario did for the previous gen, more of a movie tie-in rather than a legendary itself.

It has no similarities with any of the other legendary pokemon, plus, unlike legendaries, it has it's own evolution line, which doesn't happen with any legendary (Although Phione is the egg form of Manaphy, you can't evolve a Phione to Manaphy afterwards).

Also, it can be bred, it fits in the Ground Egg group and it doesn't benefit of an overall high (600 or higher) base stat (it's base stats are 510).

oh come on, zoroak is one of the best pokemon, and you need to participate in events to get it without breeding, that says something.

It's the only non-legendary that can be obtained in-game that way, true, but events doesn't define legendaries, given that the grand majority of legendaries don't need events to get them.

I would differ he's one of the best pokemon. Probably one of the best Dark type sweepers yes, but there are a lot of counters against Zoroark, and, once again, it's base stats aren't that special. Also, you need to go through a lot of breeding to get his best attack, Dark Pulse, given that it doesn't learn it any way other than egg moves, so there aren't a lot of people who get the best out of Zoroark.

but zoruak also has thise natural ability which is good in battles.

Zoroark is a Special Sweeper, with high Special Attack and Speed. His Defenses are awful, but then again... he's a sweeper anyways, so he's not meant to get hit in the first place haha. ^_^

Illusion is neat because, with careful Pokemon placement, it can allow him to get at least one extra turn in, so he can use Nasty Plot. By then he'll have enough power to rip through a lot of Pokemon.

As for Dark Pulse being his best move, it's debatable. Night Burst is slightly more powerful and has a 30% chance to lower the Pokemon's accuracy. But, it has its own accuracy at 95 (Dark Pulse is 100), so there's a bit more risk.

So it's the slightly more powerful and slightly less accurate Night Burst versus the slightly more accurate and slightly less powerful Dark Pulse.

Night Burst? You mean, Night Daze right?

And it's 40% chance to lower Accuracy, not 30%

Totally forgot about it, but yeah, Night Daze as a damaging move is more powerful, and useful, than Dark Pulse. But Zoroark being a Sweeper Type with excrutiantingly low defense (60 base defense >___<), missing that Night Daze could spell doom to Zoroark, so it's a bit of a gamble, even if the miss chance is low (only 5%). It boils down to luck, since I've managed to miss thrice in a row with a 95% accuracy attack, even without any accuracy modifiers on neither pokemon.
