Forums - Nintendo - (Rumor) Ubisoft employee details Nintendo's Next console

"If the controller itself has a reported 5" hd screen and cameras"

Okay, I'm not buying that at all, not unless Nintendo has totally gone tech mad and doesn't care about system prices, or the price of something like that has magically dropped to less than what the 3DS screen cost.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I was the anonymous employee who reported this. This is credible because I said so!

So, you are a Ubisoft employee? Can't choose a better option, like Nintendo or Sony? That's sad...

Skip to 3:00. Wii can already do 3d on normal TVs. You swap the wiimote and the sensor bar around. Some rumours have suggested the controller can act as a sensor bar. Combine that with a camera on the TV. It's like the opposite of the 3DS 'sweet spot'.

This would be neat.

It's funny how many people are actually speculating that the console will allow you to play games on it's screen.

 I mean really people...

Oh God. This sounds very interesting, but people around the web claims that Wii is two gamecubes, now N6 will be two Wiimotes...

=/

FAKE

With how many rumours are coming out, and the likelihood that even leaked information would be heavily distorted from being third hand information, I think it is becoming nearly impossible to get any meaningful information from these rumours.

With that said 3D and holograms are (effectively) optical illusions that have been created in a variety of ways for over a century. While I’m certain there are a multitude of ways to create 3D effects, and there are probably ways it could be done using a conventional screen, I find the current rumour to be difficult to believe simply because of how poor it sounds from a usability perspective.

Or battery suction. Even with rechargables installed (which would add yet more cost) that would be insane

Right. The 3DS needing a "sweet spot" is iffy enough from a usability perspective, then apply that issue to hundreds of makes and models of televisions applied in millions of different kinds of setups in homes across varying cultures around the world.

It just wouldn't work
