I'm a little confused on the processes- are we voting whether or not to lynch the prof?

No, you are allowed to vote for everyone you like/dislike, you vote to get a player lynched and if you are town you try to lynch Mafia, if you are Mafia, you try to avoid lynching Mafia.

If we were playing this in real life, the procedure is generally to have a vote proposed, and seconded, followed by an up-or-down vote by show of hands on whether to lynch, and when someone was lynched the day would end and night would begin.* 

Since in a forum there is pretty much NEVER a time when all players are simultaneously playing, players just cast votes on their own, and whenever a majority (or plurality, but it's majority in this game) vote is reached against one player, then that person is lynched* and the day will end when the game mod sees it and ends the day.  Before then and after the "hammer" -- the final vote that made a majority -- people can talk, including the lynched person, but the lynch is set in stone and cannot be undone or changed. 

*People can also vote "No Lynch", which is a vote to end the day without lynching anyone.  This is generally a very bad idea to do after Day 1, but there are other times when it might be a strategically good move.

I'm surprised you even ask. More vanilla games it's usually tit for tat town lynch for mafia night kill so a lynch today would be a good thing.

More complex with many night roles would make it a less simple decision.

If I survive the next few days....getting ready for passover is really taking a toll on me.

there's not enough votes out there even the fun joke votes. I'll put a quick vote out soon myself.

No, I haven't actually checked anyone's page to see if they've been posting elsewhere/online today, but I'd wager others would be more fitting of the title. Also, prof has been a bit less active day one lately so it's not quite surprising yet that he only has two posts. Besides that, it'd be hypocritical of me to go after someone that's usually active day one when I was pretty upset last round that I was merely busy and couldn't be my usually active self, which I am as either town or scum.


You put so many words in there but it says so little.

Just thinking about those three things is giving me a headache.

Because, Heph wasn't assuming that artificials were mafia, he was saying that maybe it was a blunder. But even so, it says in the fluff that role=/= alignment. So, either Heph misread/forgot about the "rule", or a variety of other reasons. Myself, thinking about Hatmoza makes me wonder whether he would write that rule but have it actually be false as some kind of mind-fuck.

However, this is countered by the memory of Heph citing himself from Hat's last game, of being scum who plays "risky" on day 1.

Then, Linkz post kind of makes sense, but it's also kind of dramatic too.

So, I'm kind of stuck in this "one of them is scum" thought process, and I'm trying my hardest to ignore that because those don't tend to end well.

You thinking one of them is scum based on posts this round or just a gut feeling?
