TurboSvans said: I don't know, it depends on what they offer, if I could get almost the same thing from a company in for example, France or Germany, I'd probably get it from them. But I am still buying products made from U.S-companys, its pretty hard not to. So the main thing I don't buy from MS, is that its MS, not that its American. Its not a companys fault its from a certain country and it's not their fault what the country stands for so I probably would buy from an american company if it did all of the things you say, I don't think that MS does that though. |
By no means am I implying that MS does any of that. I was just wondering if, say, a game developer from the US would be exempt from such a thing.
Also, on the subject of America in general, it's safe to say that the majority of Americans disagree with how the country is being run right now, judging by the fact that the approval rating is in the toilet.
However, doing something about it is easier said than done. I've had a friend make jokes on the internet about k*lling the pre**dent and the next day men in suits showed up at his door to investigate him and find out if he was joking or not.
At the least, there're searches which monitor the internet for keywords. I don't even want to think about what other kinds of surveillance are probably out there.
"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
