correct me if I'm wrong here but afaik it's scanning in a code, not the object itself, like scanning in a barcode type of thing. Different ideas/situation

I remember back when my cousin had an Eye-toy (and no, I'm not comparing it to Kinect), there was a feature in This Is Football that let you use your Eye-toy to scan your face and put it in the game, so the players looked like you or your friends. That was quite cool. We even took a picture of his ass and create an ass-faced player, lol. I know this can be done through the internet with FIFA now, but I think it would be fun if Kinect used this kind of features more often for games. Even if a game is not totally Kinect-centric, they have to invent more ways to apply the technology to games in a fun way. I'm sure there are many things that could be done.

Well, if what you say is true, it's sad because it would be a fun feature and it's been done before. In that case I think society is becoming too paranoid and it hurts innovation. Anyway, if not scanning, it would be nice if they found nice ways to implement Kinect in other ways. I'm not saying they implement Kinect in a shitty way in every game out there, but having some nice addition that only Kinect can provide would be nice IMO.

But Microsoft was teasing us with that feature, and PS Move/PS Eye-compatible games like Little Big Planet have been using it for a long time. Which is why I seriously doubt that this is the true reason.
And are you absolutely sure that M.U.G.E.N. is wrong when he says that Kinectimals does not do proper 3D object scanning, but only scans a simple 2D "barcode"? Because that's just what I have always heard as well.

Ditto, last time I saw you was in some MK thread. You're hardly noticeable yourself. Wait, you've seen my so called "complaining about VGC" post from some week ago ... stalker. I hardly even remembered that post. You're such a bad liar. ah contradiction. It's a beautiful thing really. Almost like magic. |

You can only scan tags with kinectimals. No objects. Not yourself,
