Are you just being argumentative of the facts for the sake of arguing? Are you intentionally trying not to listen to the facts? Are you just so filled with Nintendo hatede that you won't believe the reality?
Guess what happens if the sell through rate is above 50%. That means some locations would likely have sell outs. The higher up that percentage you go, the higher the percentage of stores that had sell outs. Did I not just get finished explaining to you that they didn't want sell outs? They didn't overestimate demand, they intentionally prevented sell outs to ensure adequate stock for all consumers and to prevent gray market price gouging. Why is this such a difficult concept for you to grasp?

Actually, they didn't allow it on purpose. Foxconn ran at peak capacity of 2.5 million consoles per month production for quite some time. Componenet vendors were also at peak production on many critical components. You cannot produce more product than the lowest volume provided by your componeent vendors.
They care very much for low stock. Every sell out is a missed sale. Every $500 console sold on eBay is lost potential revenue. Put yourself in the place of an investor and as a product sales manager. Would you care about low stocks then? By golly you most certainly would.
