Forums - Gaming - why cant they (online pass)

For the Online pass system that the code for your new game is on the disk, when you put it in and go online, the game reads the code and deletes it off the disk. An when someone tries to get that game used then they have to buy the code. So there is no having to enter an code and treat everyone guilty before innocent.

If they can manage to implement something like that on top of coming out and saying there reason for one in the first place, then yea thats find.

Oh and if you didn't know, an leak/rumour is out that MK will have an online pass and that it was leaked when they told the retailers about it. Really? why dont you tell everyone and not try to sneak it past your fans. I know its an bit off topic but MK is doing everything wrong with the release: 1. online pass, 2. Day one DLC. Whats next and price rise.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Maybe it's just me but your post seems awfully difficult to understand. I have no idea what you're actually trying to say.

Anyway, something related to online passes it seems? I don't like online passes, in fact I think I'll pass any game that uses an online pass - new or used, I don't care. I dislike the practice.

1.Online pass is nothing wrong. Read on internet that many ar Renting games but what Do the game devolepers get from that? NOTHING.

2.Day one DLC is something that i hate if it's not just something small you get for pre-ordering the game.

WUT?

Hes saying why cant the developers put the code on the disc, so we dont have to put that long ass code in.

Well because rental companys like Gamefly, will let you rent the disc, and if you decide to buy the game, you can get the code. If the code was on the disc, the first person would use the code up and the game value would drop.

They cant put it on the disc, if they did every disc would have to be unique which simply doesn't work. Maybe if the sold 200 copies this could work, but they will print at least a million...

So he's asking why the code couldn't be on the disc? Well, the most obvious reason should be that discs are read-only, you can't remove information from them.

You have a very narrow view on the matter here.
