Unless I'm forgetting something, thus far Sony hasn't replaced anything, instead they've just removed stuff. So... That joke might not be that good after all :)

Anyway, great news if true! Don't care about the web browser that much anymore but I used to use it quite a bit.

I hope this one doesn't freeze my PS3 like the current browser does sometimes.

I think the PS4 should have some sort of MSN integration allowing you to chat with people while you are playing games (the MSN window should be in the background and the game in full screen, you press the PS button and go to the PS4's OS and open the MSN window from there).

The same goes for the browser... the PS4 should have Chrome or Firefox... I can only dream of having both a game and a browser open at the same time on my PS3... you can't even synch trophies while playing a game, lol.

Really? They haven't added 3D? They haven't added Netflix app? Qriocity? updated the photo software? Added Playstation Life? Online backup? Just to name a few. The only thing I can recall them taking away was the other OS. Thank Geohot for that.

Yes you can, it just doesn't do it automatically when you go to look at the trophy list like it does when not in-game.


Last time I tried to synch my trophies while being in a game by pressing triangle on the Trophy icon and X on "Synch with server" it told me I couldn't perform that operation and asked me if I wanted to close the game. Or maybe "Synch with server" was greyed out... or both? O_o

Maybe I remember it wrong? O_o

I am unsure about that, but I know that looking at your profile while in-game on the XMB it always starts syncing.  It is annoying, is why I remember it.


Oh, I see... I didn't even know trophies would get synchronized if you looked at your own profile... I always did it by selecting the trophy icon in the game section of the XMB, pressed triangle on it and X on "Sync with server". My trophies never got synched while looking at my own profile... maybe because I always Sync them right after exiting a game... It probably only does it if you haven't synched your trophies before looking at your own profile.

I hope this is true, the PS3 browser is really poor and could be so much better, I'd know I'd use it a lot more than I do if it becomes Chrome
