Forums - Nintendo - super smash bros on 3ds

Well, now that it's got gcn/wii like graphics and an analog stick, wouldn't Smash Bros. fit perfectly on it?

THAT WOULD BE EPIC!!! This is just a discussion of the POSSIBILITY of a Smash Bros. game coming to the 3DS (NOT DS!!!). I'd hope so. I mean it seems reasonable enough to expect at some point.

What do you think about that ?

It would be amazing, indeed.  Here's hoping for an E3 announcement.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I just hope that this time, Nintendo won't practically shit on the competitive Smash community, just like they did in SSBB.

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Wouldn't work, most people play the game for local multiplayer.

The single player has never been great and online is too anonymous and too hard to design a ladder for (except for both Fox no items final destination kind of rulesets) to make it mean something.

What would sop people from playing local multiplayer?  Download play ftw :)

When two 3DSs plus the game cost over $700 in your country?

Besides, you watch them NOT implement download play.

This.

I generally dislike handheld fighting games but I think a SB game on the 3DS could be cool, as long as its done right.

With online play and streetpass functions the game would rock. Create and share levels on the go would be sweet!
I think that 3DS has a good shot of having a version of it`s own.

Came here to say just this.

And if I'm being honest, I hope they throw competitiveness out the window with the next game, and aim for more over-the-topness and randomness. Though I'm not sure if it would be worth listening to the uproar of a million angry tourneyfags (in lack of a less homophobic term) again.

A Super Smash Bros would on 3DS would be quite epic, as long as it wasn't a remake or port of the orginal or Melee. Hell, I'd settle for a port of Brawl but a new SSB that is the dream. 3DS could certainly handle it.
