I'm skeptical but anytime I see any news of a FF VII remake, I have to let my guard down.

On topic:  I suspect if S-E would ever remake FF VII in the not so distant future, the NGP would the system on which it would land.  It would allow them to create something visually similar to what they achieved with Advent Children, as far as design is concerned, with impressive visuals that most fans are wishing for, yet it would cost them a fraction of what they'd have to invest if they were to develop it in HD for the PS3.

And I'm not commenting on that e-mail thing...  ¬_¬

It screams fake but FFVII REALLY  needs a remake because is so outdated now and the lego look doesnt give it justice

The language of the email is so ridiculous I find it hilarious anyone buys this rumor. Translate the game into your mother tongue? People really believe that would be stated in that way? Translators work on all languages they are considered experts in. The fact that they sent all this detailed information to an easily hacked gmail account makes it all the more incredulous. Even supposing for a second they would email to confirm the job (it would be a phone call and face to face meetings) the project ain't going to be names. Top it off with using PSP2 over current pseudonym of NGP and the whole thing looks like the worst hoax ever.
