I Dont know why people say this, every time there is a graphics debate, people say oh graphics dont mater, i will take gameplay anyday.

newsflash the top graphical games of this gen (UC2, KZ 2&3, GOW3) all have great gameplay too.

No, we say this because the amount of times people go on about graphics, you'd be forgiven that these games didn't have any gameplay.

Based on the fact that no one can agree what's definitive, I'd say so is graphics.

Yeah it basically all comes down to what art style you prefer.

One could say what style of gameplay you prefer affects what you think about the overall game. For example: Gamefaqs did a poll to find out how people like to control their cameras in games. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=4300

I think something as little as this can also affect how you feel about it. For example; I am often biased against racers that use the shoulders for accel/deceleration.

Yeah I'd have to agree with that...games that have controls that I dont like tend to annoy me more making me not enjoy the game as much as I would have. In fact I'm having a hard time with the PS3 controller for that reason as far as FPS are concerned...my whole experience with KZ3 is not as good as it could be just because I really don't like the PS3 controller (or the worthless Xbox wannabe controller I got for the PS3)

I would have to agree overall Killzone 3 is the best looking game on console.  There are times Crysis 2 is the best looking game but its too inconsistant, and sometimes looks just plain bad. 

Still considering this is the first time Crytek has ever developed a console game, and the fact that its a multi-plat is very impressive and I can't wait to see what they are able to do with Kingdoms.

as others have said your getting waaaay too into this.  I agree KZ3 is the OVERALL better looking game but your taking it too far calling out members of the forum and stuff.  At times Crysis 2 is the best looking game on consoles, the only thing holding it back is its inconsistancies.

IGN didn't lie, I think Crysis is certainly aruably the best looking game.  I don't agree with it being the best but its certainly close.  And as Selnor said Lens of Truth and Digital Foundry are only useful to a certain extent.  There are MANY factors those web sites don't take into account with their analysis.

I find it funny that Lens of Truth gets downplayed so much by both fan-camps everytime the results aren't as expected.

I would trust them the most in GFX-analyzing since essentially LoT is a site made for comparing graphics, they're done it for a long time and they give a very thorough and professional analysis as far as I can tell.

Usually when a game is a multiplat and 360 wins, some PS3 fans get mad as hell and when they compare the PS3 exclusive graphics to a 360 game it's the other way around. :P

It's and endless cycle of hate, lol

Killzone 3 wins with graphics, but I still would prefer playing Crysis 2 over KZ3.

This.

Before LoT showed 360 multiplat better and PS3 fans said it sucks... now LoT showed PS3 the graphic king and 360 fans said it sucks.

For me no other consoles showed the amount of details on screen than Uncharted 2 until now.

the only person that i called out was kowenicki, (and i thinkhe deserved it, it was another poster saying something about selnor crying)

but i still think ign lied.

they were very definitive in saying not only was the ps3 version a lot worse but that it is no question the best looking game. when tech sites say an entire another thing, then i think its safe to say they lied, but oh well
