Forums - PC - Good Gaming Monitor?

nope not late yet. As the ones people recommended to me are not in stock in AUS locally.

I thought about the Dell U2410 but its $650AUD andin USA itis like $480US. Considering our dollar is now worth higher then the USA this price for me is BS. Also for $580AUD I can get a Sony Bravia 32inch full 1080p tv.

The U2410 is really expensive (in fact that's the main reason I don't have it), but it has a lot of inputs: 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA and components, meaning that you could connect the 360, PS3 and your PC using digital connections, which will give you better quality.

The other downside is that it's 16:10, good for working on the PC, but it will mean black bars when playing console games.

If ghosting is not an issue, you can check monitors with VA panels that offer better blacks, but at the expense of response time. Otherwise, if ghosting, trailing, etc. ( do people really notice that?), are an issue, then you should go for a 120Hz panel, like BenQ XL2410T, LG W2363D, Alienware AW2310, etc.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Got a 24" 1200p Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW.

Great, cheap monitor, but has one flaw. No HDMI, but I guess slightly newer ones have one.
