Tri managed to pull some pretty respectable numbers over here thanks to a big ad push from Nintendo. If Frontier got a similar treatment from MS it wouldn't surprise to see it pull similar numbers, especially with how dominant 360 currently is in America. I've been waffling back and forth about picking one up for a while now. I'll probably get it when it goes to $150. I don't really have a whole lot of games I want to get for it. Mostly JRPGs and Cave schmups. 


cool if you want exclusives jpgs i would recommend lost odyssy  blue dragon , magna carta 2 , tales of vesperia , last rement and Infinite undiscovery and death smiles all 360 exclusives

i perfer my cod on xbox but when i had a ps3 i played cod mwf2, warhawk , and killzone 2 all laggy as hell so psn is not even compare to live espically it not p2p connection

I'm also hoping frontier comes out in the USA. I loved phantasy star online and the monster hunter series but I agree that this type of game will loss too many potential sales due to the fact its suscrption base. It is just an rpg with coop multiplayer. I think xbox live gold should be enough.

As for the offtopic online service arguements. Xbox live and PSN are very crappy when compared to steam for instance. Xbox live Gold is defenitly better than psn from my experience, but for developers PSN seems to be a better platform to work on from what I've read.

one thing you have to keep in mind is that XBL is shit, PSN is crap, and Wii online is lawlz, they are all bad, but one is actually making you pay for shit. I mean shit, if you work for the MS gaming division, I'd understand, but don't go defending it like you are paying for something that's justified when there are free alternatives everywhere else that lets you play games online as a very basic service.

wtf are you even talking about? I put hundreds of hours into MHTri on Wii and I've played countless hours on PSN, not to mention when I had my 360, I played a shit ton of Halo 3 and Gears. It's simply the truth. You are talking to a person that had a 360(useless without Gold,) currently have a PS3, a Wii, a DS, 2 PSPs, a 3DS, and a decent PC, I actually have things to compare to as to people who might not have access to everything, and that's just how it is.

i had a ps3 online might be free but it laggy as hell and is way not even close to xbox live and i have a ds and use to have a psp so i know also

actually, the bad part of PSN is the actual download part on updates or content depending on which backbone your isp has, as far as actual game play goes, there is pretty much no difference other than the ability to do cross game voice chat on XBL while you are playing online. I call full of shit on your part in this case.

I don't like XBL because online play is a premium you pay for and xgvc also isn't something you should be forking out money for where there are better alternatives to it as well. It used to be that Gold had the advantage when it came to something like Netflix, but that's also no longer the case. If people feel that it's OK to get their blood sucked when they don't have to, that's fine with me, but that won't change the fact that you are paying for services that easily have free alternatives that are better in many cases. black isn't white and shit doesn't smell like perfumes, if you wanna pay for shit, nobody is gonna stop you, and I still won't say a thing good about XBL for as long as it's a rip off.
