Forums - Gaming - The most non-lazy dev this gen

Nintendo basically carried the Wii on its back for a few years...so yeah...

Around the Network

As developer, Platinum Games. Publisher, Sega.

Insomniac, NIS, Capcom.

Valve for the orange box - amazing games, low price and I didn't experience any bugs. Stream has become very solid and useful. They haven't released many games, but they have all been really good.

I'm glad portal 2 is coming out very shortly but still no sign of HL2 - ep. 3 - but considering how long Half life 2 took and how great it turned out I don't think I can count that as lazyness - just extream nintendoness.

Other non-lazy devs - Nintendo.

Playing : PC  AOE, DiRT 2, Runes of Magic, Wings of Prey & Planetside 2

Wii U : Nintendoland, Super Mario U  & Fifa 2013 demo

DS : Guitar Hero : On Tour

Naughty Dog

Sega

That game company

Naughty dog released only 2 games this gen...

They weren't exactly half assed games were they?

No, but they were both single player focused and linear.

Still doesn't make them half assed.

there are many games that fit the bill of SP and linear and are half assed. but I put it to you that the MP of Uncharted 2 is anything but half assed.

Uncharted is my favourite franchise this gen by far. But I gotta be honest, it didnt take much effort into making the games (given the money and time span)

Now you wanna talk about non-lazy developers (im not saying ND is lazy, not een in the slightest), learn about Bethesda. Fallout 3 and OBLIVION were both MASSIVLY HUUUUGE games and were developed in short lifespan. They were also GOTYs

They were also glitchy as hell.

OT: SuckerPunch with the UGC is pretty high imo

On the launch yes, but they fixed that

Bioware. I'm no Bioware expert, but I've played both Mass Effects, and it's obvious that there was some serious effort behind those games.

Nintendo. They've pretty much held down the fort by themselves with the Wii, so they definitely deserve credit, even if they sometimes tend to take the path of least resistance with their software.

Naughty Dog. While I don't find the Uncharted games appealing to the same extent as most people on this site do, (Though there's only like ten or so games, that I like as much as most of you people like Uncharted) I won't even try to deny the amount of effort put into those games.

And last, but not least, Mojang AB. It only consists of eight employees, and they've created (And I say this aware of the high chance of being ridiculed) my favorite singular game since 2005. Gotta give them props.

Not Lazy: Naughty Dog

Definitely Lazy: Bethesda

When they stop releasing buggy games, then we'll talk.

In my opinion, Just Cause 2 is at least 3 times bigger than Fallout 3 but I don't remember encountering any bugs in that one.

Bethesda releases a buggy game (fallout 3) then sit back until people start complaining. You'd think they'd learn but with subsquent ps3 DLCs, some were even unplayable because of the most ridiculous bugs known.

Its all fixed man, stop living in the past, its like arguing Uncharted 2 matchmaking still sucks... DLCs are fine. I have GOTY editions and they all worked flawlessly (except Point looks on which,I admit, froze on me couple of times) And im not very far into Oblivion but so far I havent experienced any problems yet.

^^^^ what system are you playing on??? becaue my PS3 edition didnt start crapping out on me till the got the damn DLCs. That was last month, so no they are definately not fixed
