^^^ GE had rumors, so the public did know it was coming, that more than I can say for TLS and a few other titles. 5 must haves for Wii??? I doubt it. You have more faith than i do. I wouldnt mind i cant keep giving Sony all my money

Well, let's just assume a few things here. Last year we had:

  • Monster Hunter Tri
  • Metroid: Other M
  • Sin & Punishment: Star Successor
  • Super Mario Galaxy 2
  • Red Steel 2
  • Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
  • Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep
  • No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
  • Sonic & Sega All-Star Racing
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
  • Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars
  • Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
This year? We'll have:
  • The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
  • Mario Sports Mix
  • Conduit 2
  • Trackmania
  • De Blob: The Underground
  • Kirby's Epic Yarn
  • Xenoblade
So already the line-up is looking potentially better. It's up to what Nintendo wish to do from here on in though

Lol, the line-up looks quite pathetic to say the truth. Last year completely obliterates this year. I'm not including speculative releases, only confirmed games. I'm sure the list will grow (not that much) but it will never touch last years release, not even close.

This is USA btw.

Well it's a lot more favourable in the EU

Also, I deleted the games which weren't announced at this point in the year, and those which weren't comfirmed for this year in the EU...

All of a sudden, doesn't seem quite so bad for the Wii does it? Maybe not as good as last year, but still not terrible...

^^^ you are definately in the minority considering you think last gen blew and are one of the few and i mean few people who actually bought the De blob 2 or lost in shadow. But hey if thats your opinion i can dig it. Long as your not passing it off as fact.

No i dont have that much money and im not complaining about Wii, i have a PS3 so im set for the year. Even if Wii doesnt put out crap i want (there not) but people who are complaining might only have just a Wii so does that make their complaints not legit??? and no i dont have that much time or money to buy every game i want, I dont even have the HDD space for that. Its kind of messed up to say this but a part of me is glad that Wii library is lacking (IMO) because i spend too much damn money on Sony's machine as is

All I want to add here as that you, Chocoloco and Maxwell have all really de-railed this thread. Sigh...

Also, I'm the exact opposite. I buy mostly Wii and (3)DS games as opposed to PS3 or 360. In total I've played on my Wii over 1,900 of the 2,700 hours which is logged on it, and have enjoyed the vast, vast majority of that time. People saying that it has no games seriously have to look, because that's at least double the amount of time I've spent on my PS360 combined...

So I don't think the library is lacking (anymore), and with the Pandora's Tower video, and the TLS domain registered, the year is getting better and better for the Wii

Hey now my original post was talking about your topic it's everyone else that started commenting on it and I replied to their comments

And yeah I agree with you, my Wii gets the most play time more than PS3 and 360 combined, and there's a reason for that.

And my point was libraries aren't lacking, it just depends on games that appeal to you are coming out lol if not you'll have a drought, if so you won't, simple logic really.

I know your original thread did, but somehow it managed to slide somehow...

And the last paragraph is particularly true, it depends on your viewpoint and what you call a good game...and anyway, SW droughts are good things. They let you finish uncompleted games (MHTri, for example) and buy games you never had a chance to (DKCR, Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey etc.)

If there was a game released every other week, then I wouldn't get chance to either buy them all, or to play them properly. Sometimes, it's best not to have anything coming out IMO

EXACTLY, which is why I mentioned unless you're some rich guy with no life or responsibilities, that can buy every new title and beat them before the next one comes out, these periods are times to pick up older games on the cheap and complete your backlog.

Well I'm not one of those people

And I have exams coming up as well. So I don't mind having droughts!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

different strokes for difference folks. I get alot more game time out of my PS3 than i do my Wii, my Wii gets turned on like maybe twice a week. i just find the PS3 library more compelling and varied and the online is a hell of a lot better. Even if i had to look at the backlog for Wii, there are very few games that I have not bought. WarioLand, NMH2 and thats about it. So much crap on PS3 i want past and present.

That's the point, different people feel there are more games for them on one console over another, thing is normal people don't whine about it endlessly on the forums.  It's cool if you're discussing how you're feeling the drought, the problem comes in when people who either don't own a console or like a console come online just to whine about the release library.

This becomes the issue

I'm kind of the opposite.  On average I use my Wii maybe 15x more than my PS3, which occasionally sits unused for the best part of a month.  Obviously, which console I play more of and how much more depends on the games I'm playing.  The only time I used my PS3 considerably more than my Wii was during Winter 2008/Early 2009, when LBP took over my life and the only new Wii releases that interested my were World of Goo and Super Mario RPG;  I almost literally only used my Wii for the bi-monthly MKWii competitions.  But then again, the time I spent on either my Wii or PS3 is dwarfed by my playtime on my DS/probably in the future 3DS.

I guess as you say different strokes for different folkes.

This reflects my game time exactly, there literally are zero games on PS3 that lasted me half the time Monster Hunter Tri or Brawl, but even those games are dwarfed by the amount I used to play Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters, the countless RPGs, and Zelda.

Indeed, far too many PS360 games are as long as Wii games, and even them can't hold my attention...

Also, don't forget Mario! And I never knew you had Monster Hunter! Did you ever finish it?
