Bayonetta it's definitely better than God of War IMO. Simply awesome.

I don't know what are the issues with the PS3 version, but during my playthrough the only time I noticed slowdowns was during Chapter 14, when I was scaling the vertical dropping panel wall and I never noticed slowdowns during battles.

Boutros means that the PS3 Version is 30FPS and the XBOX 360Version is 60FPS.

Seriously? Well I would never say that it was on 30FPS to be honest. Then again, I can rarely spot the difference between 30 and 60 FPS on a console game.

I think God of War 3 is more of the total package and I actually got to see boobs in that game. Bayonetta excelled in the gameplay department and kept a smile on my face throughout. I loved it. I'll go ahead and say it played better than GoW3 and with a little more graphical polish and a more coherent story, it wouldn't even be a competition.
Even though I gave Bayonetta a 10/10 and Devil May Cry 3 a 9.9/10, I still like DMC3 a lot more than Bayonetta so I'll say DMC3 is the best Hack and Slash game I've played (since God Hand isn't a Hack and Slash :P).
I think Bayonetta is a lot better than God of War III... the only thing better in GoWIII for me is the framerate and the graphics.

Lol, I wish I wasn't able to notice it like you, but the game was a framerate mess (PS3 version). It went below 30FPS very often and even below 20 FPS many, maaaaany times... I think there were a few times in which I was playing at around 10-15 FPS.
I tend to notice FPS drops very easily, even Castlevania: Lords of Shadow which had a better framerate than Bayonetta was a bit annoying to play because of the low framerate (below 30FPS most of the time).

hmm damn I replayed it for the third time recently but I kinda forgot the layout (I remember them by heart kinda you know, if I had my DS3 in my hands now I would know for sure) but I THINK it was L1 plus Circle, even for the minotaurs, then start getting into a combo, repeated Square is the easiest. Then avoid the next attack and repeat. Easiest way to do it :D trust me you will get some really awesome weapons later on which will let you take em on head on much easier. oh and R2 for the army of sparta or w/e it was called right at the moment they hit you will push them back...a harder but awesome way to go about this is to parry and attack, which can take some practice |
L1 plus circle is grapple yes, but the combo? Just repeated Square? It's that simple lol?
The hard thing is to avoid them both. I grapple one but then the other one attacks me.
Speaking of upgrades I wonder if I have missed any. Should I have had some power upgrade at this point? When I got into these problems with this trial I desperatly tried to buy an upgrade but I havent got enuff orbs.
Bayonetta is one of the best games I've played this generation. It was fun and stylish from beginning to end. I wished the cutscenes were shorter; they dragged on, and kind of ruined the pace. Bayonetta is a cool character, and she's way better than a lot of the female leads this gen (cough*Samus*cough*Aya Brea*cough*).
The boss fights were pretty awesome, especially Jeanne's. Overall, excellent game...way better than GOW3, Heavenly Sword, Lords of Shadow, DMC4, you name it. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was pretty good; I enjoyed the various weapons it had and how different each felt. Also, the co-op was very fun.
I put it up there with Ninja Gaiden Black and Devil May Cry 3 as the bests in the genre.
I love Bayonetta one of the best Hack and Slash Games ever made I just wish the PS3 Version was 60FPS like the XBOX 360 Version.
My favorite Hack and Slash Games are
Devil May Cry Series, Ninja Gaiden Series, Bayonetta and ONIMUSHA series although ONIMUSHA is the odd one out as it is a Survival Horror Hack and Slash.
The only Hack and Slash I hate is The God of War series I have never like it and I never will.
