I don't say that monster hunter is bigger then pokemon i just say monster hunter will sale much more in ngp then in 3ds.
What proof do you have of this? Japanese people will get MH, no matter the system it's on. I mean, MHTri for Wii has sold 2 million copies, far more than it's PS2 counterparts. Who knows, if it was shifted to the 3DS, it could, quite easily, be as big as pokemon in Japan...
And why wouldn't it the 3DS-exclusive? Like I said, Tri is on Wii, and that sold above expectations, and, due to subscriptions in JP, are still making money. If Nintendo give them the support like they did with Tri, highly likely, a 3DS exclusive is much more likely than a NGP one IMO...
Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
It all over, everyone is finished except the angry bird devs
Vesterbeck is the new Miyamoto, after all.
Please tell me he didn't actually say that
If he didn't, it must be one of the few things he hasn't said yet.
@OP: I'll repeat myself, this Kramer is the new Pachter, he must be his secret son. Hail to the new analyst king!
Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian") A fart without stink is like a sky without stars. TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for NatalWiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!
I think 3DS will have the same problem of psp it will sell in first years very well but software will be low exept sale of mario and pokemon and it last years the hardware sale will fall like the psp and monster hunter will never be an exclusive.
Monster hunter=psp ,the game will never sell more in 3ds then in psp.
In other hand i think this ngp will be much more succesful then psp i don't know why the magority think the ngp will do like the psp or worst then that.
This time sony has more suport for developper then with the psp sony has annonced monster hunter et call of dutty and will appeal casual gamers with game like angry bird and little deviants.
Monster Hunter will never be as big as Pokemon worldwide and Capcom is the LAST developer to make something exclusive, Look what happened with Resident Evil 4 last gen. The ONLY real chance to expand the fanbase of Monster Hunter Portable is to make it Multiplatform. The graphics difference between NGP and 3DS is not as big this time as DS and PSP including the fact that both portables have the highest capacity in game cards ( 8GBs) as time passes.
Lol sorry, had a good laugh at that. The graphical difference is probably about the same. While the 3DS is closer to the PS2/Gamecube than the PSP was, the NGP is pushing graphics that are closing in on the 360/PS3.

Pretty much everyone would agree that the difference between N64 and PS2 graphics is more significant than the difference between PS2 and PS3 graphics.
I wouldn't. Like I said, they are probably about the same difference. If you actually go back and play some PS2 games, which I do quite frequently, those games don't look as good as memory/nostalgia makes people think they did. Hell, some people think that the Unreal Next Gen Demo didn't look too different from this gen, but the fact is, it looks leagues ahead of this gen. Of course, from the PS2 era on, developers have been able to use tricks to make a game look better than it truly is.

Sure, if you look closely at games you can spot similar differences between each generations, but most people don't do this. Hence why the difference is not perceived as being the same by the massmarket, but rather getting increasingly smaller with each generation.
But, you don't even have to looks closely. Going from GOW2 (one of the best looking games on the PS2) to GOW3 is no less impressive than when we went from MGS1 to MGS2. In fact, many have said the graphics of GOW3 look on par, if not better, than the CGI cinematics from GOW2. I would have to agree. Where we have come to this gen in terms of polygon count, lighting/shadowing, and textures is nothing short of amazing. However, I think many let nostalgia take over when they try to say, well this gen doesn't look all that advanced when compared to last gen.

lets put this into perspective of a smaller screen on a handheld:
lets put this into perspective of a smaller screen on a handheld:
GoW2:
GoW3:
Ghost of Sparta:

Even on those small screens, I can tell the difference. Much higher poly count in GOW3 compared to GOW:GOS. Texture are much better/brighter, less bland. And the AA and lighting effects are much better, as well. If one couldn't tell the difference, would there be much reason for the the 3DS to have better graphics than the DS? I mean flip it around and try to tell me that the graphics on the small screen of the 3DS don't look that much better than that of the DS. OR GBA compared to the GBC, for that matter. The truth is you can tell the difference, which is why both Nintendo and Sony are improving the graphics. And the leap from GOW on PSP to GOW on the PS3 is incredible.
Edit: Wait, why did you make the videos so small, now. you do realize the NGP screen is a 5 inch OLED, right? It will be more in line with the players original size and very vibrant, as well. Even the current PSP screen is larger than that.

my point is that ghost of sparta looks like shit actually without dragging out 3DS games since we had some of this talk in a previous thread where I said the jump is about the same but means shit on a smaller screen with lower res when Capcom 3DS games look clearly miles ahead. but it's actually harder to tell on a smaller screen from 2 to 3 in the hands of an average user other than higher res textures and different lighting in which the textures won't get that kind of treatment on a handheld to start with. Oh and that 3D without glasses part does make a difference now that I have a 3DS, there is noway in hell I'm turning that off since it's just really nice without having to use glasses like I do with my TV as the whole glasses thing does become a bother at times, I personally think Nintendo made the right move with the 3DS, just need to wait for the games to come rolling down.
I mean if you really wanna be graphics whore about it, go PC, there is no place better to stretch your e-peen since mine is pretty decent size in my sig.
to your edit: I don't know your monitor size, I'm running on some 40 inch Bravia

I don't really like PC gaming, except playing old school games. I'd rather pay a few hundred bucks once and have it last me for 7 or 8 years, instead of upgrading every 2 or 3 years to keep up with the tech. Plus, with a console its 100% that the game will run on what you have, instead of one or 2 things about your PC not matching up so you can't play. And something about a console ditting next to your HD TV just seems right. I guess most would agree with this, as that's why the console business keeps expanding.
And yes, 3DS games definitely look better, but like I said, it's more like Nintendo has been able to come a little closer to the PS2/Gamcube rather than it being a whole console gen leap ahead of the PSP. Take Mercenaries, for example. Yes it looks good, but it still doesn't match RE 4 for the Gamecube.
Oh and my moniter/laptop screen is 16.5". Hmm, 16.5". That's the same size as my e-peen.
