Wow 20k from Jan-Mar is just abysmal :-/

There's only that many french people that can tolerate speaking English, the new language packs should see a little bump in sales, well no guarantee either, but I'd think multilanguage support will be popular with Europe and anywhere outside of US.

That is very true....when are the new language packs supposed to come out?

Rumour floating around stated somewhere in Spring/early summer, and will add support for most of the main European countries. I am talking giants - France, Germany, Spain, Italy probably or something along the lines of that.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Nobody, absolutely nobody, bought Kinect in order to talk to a machine. People bought it to play games. People will continue to buy Kinects because they want to play. The idea that sales will bump because of "you can talk to the device" is just a pipe dream, nothing more (not even mentioning that there are currently no games that require any speech input).

And those 300'000 sold Kinects were sold into retail. Stocks are and have been a plenty in France, so 20k for Jan-Mar is not a surprise.

Ah ok...when that comes out Kinect will probably get a small boost for a couple of weeks in Europe.

Does anyone even speak to Kinect in English??  Yet it sold a hell of a lot in NA.

I agree with what you said, there is no software that support speech so currently what are the differences or advantages between owning Kinect in Europe and in NA? None...nada....rien.

Therefore language is a lame excuse.

Those figures are pretty low and I too doubt the language packs would make much difference...but who knows?
