Nobody, absolutely nobody, bought Kinect in order to talk to a machine. People bought it to play games. People will continue to buy Kinects because they want to play. The idea that sales will bump because of "you can talk to the device" is just a pipe dream, nothing more (not even mentioning that there are currently no games that require any speech input).
And those 300'000 sold Kinects were sold into retail. Stocks are and have been a plenty in France, so 20k for Jan-Mar is not a surprise.
