Forums - Gaming - Oh My: CAPCOM Japan Doesnt Believe Classic Megaman Is Popular In the U.S

"There is also sort of this weird in Japan where a lot of Japanese developers, at least internal in Capcom sort of don’t believe Mega Man is popular in the U.S.," Killian said.

I was stunned since the Mega Man series, in my opinion, has a large and quite vocal following in North America. With a bit of disbelief, I replied with "Really?"

"Yeah, I had the same response! Like ‘Really? Really really?’ because he is really popular here," Killian responded. "People really like the character, X, and everything down the line."

Now Im Praying that this actually is a Aprils Fools Joke.

I wanna say this is April Fools' stuff, but this wouldn't surprise me at all.  One of the few Japanese properties the West doesn't find weird, but they think we don't like it lol

As one of the few that actually enjoyed Battle Network, and Zero series, I think I agree with whoever. Generally can't find others who agree with me. While I am happy they are relaunching Legends, I don't think people generally like that either.

Only the original Mega man and Mega man X seem to be popular with the USA.

DOuble post!

Oh Capcom, you so funny.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

I hope this is an April Fools, but if not I'm just happy they are actually  making Megaman Legends 3
