I think it is fair to say that most people spend 10% of their life playing with their Wii's. XD

The Wii is for Kids.And Women.Nad girly Men.that get intimidated by the Tech in the 360 let alone the  PS3 when y'all grow up and grow a pair the "Next-Gen"will be waiting for you!! Now that I pissed off everybody :) (i was kidding by the way)Who cares what "they"say a system is for.If a game is FUN thats what matters I like the Wii games but I don't expect the Wii to have as many M rated games I do expect a bazillion Mario games,but really there is no question the Wii is geared to families and kids how many 18-30 year old single men really own a Wii that do not own a 360 or PS3.Nintendo wants people to feel like "anyone"can pick up and play a Wii.Thats not the 360 or PS3's goal.So if you have a problem with Nintendo "being" for Kids well doesn't Nintendo have a responsibility to "change"that image...for every Resident evil there will be 10 Mario or donkey/diddy Kong or pokemon games so....I am afraid that it will be viewed as "for kids" but why the hell do you care if you love the games.

 Hey umm... at the bottom of your keyboard is a large rectangular key that goes most of the way accross the bottom. It is called a spacebar. It should be used at the end of a sentance, after a period.

 Also, after you finish one complete thought you really should hit another famous key that is called 'Enter'. This way it breaks up your post and makes it readible.

 As a general question, Why does a game have to have killing, blood, and or vulgarity to be an adult game? Wii sports has none of those, yet it is great. Tetris had none of those and it was huge and still is huge within the adult sphere. Nintendo is not kiddie. It makes games. Great, fun games. Mario's 100th iteration will be just as good a game as GTA24. Those of you who think that the only adult games are halo and gta are the ones who need to grow up.

For me it is like 30% PS2,  20% PS3, 30% 360 , 10% psp, 10% Wii... maybe that will change I am thinking about picking up paper mario since so many people say it is good.

How many times do I have to say that the WII is NOT only for casual gamers! This refering to those who're saying this, so don't you all feel personally offended please  I've always been a die hard gamer and spend a lot of times on the WII and don't even wish to buy other consoles anymore as I'm very pleased. Lot of games are being released in Japan until summer and thanks to a JP import console I'm able to enjoy them.

Thanks to that stupid kids toy I buy games which I normally never buy on other consoles, games such as Rayman, Excite Truck and most of all WII Sports and therefore the only genre of RPG games on the PS2 in the past, I now buy a wide range of genres for the WII. If a console does that for me, then it's a major breakthrough.

You ask the question yet you describe games that are fun instead of examples of adult games that do not have violence.

It's a preference, and for me it comes down to thematic value. Shadow of the colossus (and ico) is game without any blood or cursing in it, yet I consider it an adult game. I can even turn this back on movies. There is a fine line between little mermaid and lilo and stitch, or Toy story and the incredibles. Some of these movies and games, in addition to being fun, gives food for thought and for the most part are highly philosophical.

I think it shows a misunderstanding about what is adult when someone looks at metal gear solid and all they see is shooting and violence or if a gamer looks at Xenogears and all they think about is some uber mech destruction. Iconsider Final fantasy tactics to be mature but not overt with its violence. It is all a matter of point of view and what type of gratification you are looking for when you play your video game. Halo is a story that has it;s hardcore fans pondering over it's ties to marathon and possibly rampancy (uncontrolled expansion of an AI) and a few other things. GTA was blunt satire.... not a game that I like persay but I saw it. The storyline and scenes were comprised of many nods to gangster flicks and cliche's spread all over. There are some that understand and there are some that don't but knocking people who prefer mature content in their game is just as silly as anyone mocking people who "don't" prefer mature content in their games.

I would agree that Nintendo makes more games that are suitable for ALL AGES (yeah that's right not ONLY for kids). I think that games with a lot of violence and cursing is immature. Just my opinion, though. That's why I stick to Final Fantasy or Zelda.
