Wii first party library vs PS3 first party library?

PS3 1st party library 175 46.05%

Wii 1st party library 178 46.84%

Both 17 4.47%

Xbox 360 1st party library (vote me) 9 2.37%

Total:379

Sony's first party games don't appeal to me the way Nintendo's do.  I grew up on Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong and still love the franchises.  I got a PS3 mainly for the 3rd party stuff.

Amount of "bad games" doesn't really factor in, neither do review scores or technical aspects.  The only thing that really matters: how many games you enjoy.

The Wii has the second and third hightes rated games ever. So it's common sense which hast the best rated first party software. Imo I also think the Wii's first party software is a lot better. I wouldn't rate any PS3 first party game I've played a 9 or higher, not even GoW 3. I prefer playing games that I'm going to remember like Shadow of the Colossus or Super Mario Galaxy. There's nothing like that on PS3.

@Kyuubi Ricky SSJ2  highest rated games according to who??? Not me, and definatly not everyone. So its "common sense" that not everyone agrees with those ratings

Wii, to me.

Super Mario Galaxy 1,2

Super Smash Bros Brawl

Zelda Twilight Princess (even when is a port)

Probably, Skyward Sword.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Well, before I even answer I have to say PS3 will be first

EDIT**

What a surprise

At any rate, I have to say Wii, for it contains such great games as:

-Super Mario Galaxy (1 and 2)

-Donkey Kong Country Returns

-MEtroid Prime Trilogy

Nintendo have really raised the bar by releasing games for everyone, such as FPS, TPS, Action Adventure, Action, Platformers, Racers, Puzzle, Strategy etc. So yeah

What good tps games have they released? Just wondering...

Well, they've released Sin and Punishment and Metroid:Other M, for example...there's more but I can't remember them now

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

^^^ Metroid Other M is a third person-shooter??? since when??  its 2d platformer where u can switch to a 1st person view and you cant even move in that view. I would classiy S&P as a TPS either. its more like a space harrier and a lot less like GOWs. Theres an idea, turn S&P franchise into a TPS, it would be more mainstream and Ninty would have something to go against Uncharted & GOW, dont get me wrong i like Metroid & S&P but calling them TPS is kind of reaching.

I wonder how much of these posters actually played the other's library. How much people voting Wii have actually own or even sat and played the Sony games that they say cant hold a candle too. Same thing for Sony owners, cause for me personally I still prefer the PS3 ones, but the Ninty ones are so different i find it hard to compare, its apples and oranges the games are very different. Galaxy and R&C furture might be 3d platformers, but they play so differently and focus on different things its hard to compare them

PS3...first of all cause im a fanboy and second of all because i like change...im not into that playing the same franchises over and over again the last 4 Nintendo consoles and the next 4 Nintendo consoles...

^^^ well in their defense they do try to change some of them up, Metroid went from 2d to some FPS like thing to a mixture of the two.

@rolstoppable ill concede to you on the Metroid part, its still not a TPS but not on S&P, when i think TPS im thinking GOWs, Uncharted, Vanquish, MGS4, i dont think S&P really fits into that criteria
