Usage? Meh... I thought it was perfomance... anybody have a good perfomance comparion between the two?
Firefox > Internet Explorer
for me anyways. The add-ons and such for firefox are just amazing.
Firefox 4 is awesome but I'll switch eventually, although I will miss adblocker. For now, there is vgchartz and some porn sites that aren't work well with IE9.

I like the new pallete thingy, my one is Lightnings eyes lol
It's to be expected. The people who keep up to date with technology news and thus know FF4 and IE9 released are the ones that are more likely to know that the browser with the best add-on support is infinite times better than any browser MS can release, and so they update FF more than they update IE.
For example, I updated to FF4 on launch day, yet I didn't bother to update to IE9...in fact I don't think I've launched it since I formatted the PC and used it to dl Firefox, I prolly will update when it pops up in Windows Update though

In performance they should be fairly close...but this is to be expected.
You cant open firefox without seeing 10 pop ups saying "upgrade! upgrade!...we are for no profit...Know your rights!". Not to mention its a lot intuitive to upgrade firedox, where for IE you got to go to their download page and download the exe, install it...etc
i just wish IE9 was available for my MacBook Pro :(

How come Microsoft didn't include the upgrade pop up? They probably would have seen a lot more people upgrading if they did. I am not going to insult people that use IE. However, the general IE users isn't the most tech savvy person (example: my parents). My parents don't even bother with system updates so why would they even be concerned about browser updates (I usually install the system updates when I go visit them and fiddling around on their computer). Point is Microsoft probably should have a pop up if they want people to upgrade sooner.
I suspect you are exaggerating on 10 pop ups considering I am pretty sure it was only one (although you probably get the pop up every time you open FF, but since I updated it right away I am not entirely sure). Some might think upgrade pop ups as annoying. However, I see no issue considering I always want the last version for my computer programs. Usually the more up to date things are the better they work (although that isn't always the case).
Also, I just read some of the comments on the article page that IE 9 is only available for Vista and Windows 7. This problably has something to do with FF taking an early lead. FF supports more OS. I suppose they are starting to neglect the XP users now? I'll stick with XP till I buy another computer (which will be a very long time). I will never use IE for regular browsing since I went to FF about 5 years ago (have to use IE for Microsoft Update page, and before that I mainly used other browsers like Netscape).
