Ok, I an looking into acquring a new racing game for my PS3. Out of the ones listed in the pool, which one will give me the most for my money. I was thinking of GT5, but after reading some of the terrible reviews it got on GameStop.com, I've chosen to wait and choose between the ones listed in the poll.

UPDATE: 12 Hours later, I realized that MotorStorm was missing from the poll.

Gran Turismo 5 is the best racing game on any system, more features, cars, content than you could ever really play through, best graphics, etc. The only issue with Gran Turismo 5 is that it might not be for everybody because of it's realistic nature. It's not San Francisco Rush or Midnight Club in the way it's played.

If you're looking for Arcadish, I'd suggest a number of other games.

If you're looking for a more realistic Mario Kart experience go with Modnation Racers.

If you want pure stupid fun, then NFS: Hot Pursuit is the best choice.

GT5 is really complex and realistic, but it is far from being an arcade racing game.

My favorite racing game of the ones you listed is need for speed: Hot pursuit, though i've never tried modnation racers.

Need for Speed if you are looking for a racing game. Racing is far more entertaining in need for speed in my opinion.

Gran Turismo 5 if you are looking for a driving game. Just straight up driving is much more rewarding in gran turismo

I'm glad I tried both before I made my purchase decision. You should probably try them both before you choose one if possible becaue they are completly different games and its impossible to say straight up one is better then the other. Its all about preference just like some people prefer jrpgs and other wrpgs.
