Eurogamer

2009 PC point and click adventure game Machinarium will launch on PlayStation 3.

Speaking at Nottingham Trent University during a GameCityNights events, creator Jakub Dvorský confirmed the game will launch on PlayStation Network later this year.

Dvorský's company Amanita Design will explore a release on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, too.

However, an Xbox Live Arcade version is off the table because, according to Dvorský, Microsoft turned down the game.

"We were already refused by Microsoft to bring the game to Xbox," he told CasualGaming.biz.

"They weren't interested because the game was already released for Mac and Windows, and Microsoft demanded it as part of an exclusivity deal.

"We're not interested in Microsoft anymore."

I played the game on my Mac, it's pretty cool. I love the atmosphere, and it's a fun experience too, although granted some of the puzzles have really illogical and weird solutions.

The same great game that came with the Humble Indie Pack #2? I highly recommend playing this game, especially if you see it on sale or in a pack like the Humble Indie bundle.

*edit* Ah, I guess what happened is that the developers didn't want to go to a publisher to release the game on different platforms so that they would be able to keep all the money from the game. So then for Microsoft's backing for XBLA or something like that it would have had to have been exclusive.

Yea this game is pretty brilliant. MS got what they deserved actually, trying to moneyhat everything into some dam exclusivity deal. It's just a simple indie title, MS.
